
Student Division (audition required)
Pre-Ballet/Tap Combo- Ages 3 1/2-5 years
Introduction to ballet and tap, and the dynamics of using music and dance creatively in a structured environment.
Beginning Ballet/Tap Combo- Ages 5-6 years
Elementary syllabus of classical ballet and tap.
Ballet I, II, III, IV, V, VI - Ages 6 and up
Students are carefully guided through a structured syllabus which is designed to gradually increase their technique, strength, stamina, and discipline in accordance with their individual development.
Adult Classes - No age limit
Beginning, intermediate, and advanced technique classes for those who wish to improve flexibility and strength by beginning or continuing their ballet education.
Conditioning Class for Atheletes - Boys and Men
Designed and proven to enhance athlete's fexibility, strength, and stamina. Classes taught by athletes.
We also offer Modern, Jazz and Tap classes when a sufficient number of students are interested.
Classes and registration held year round
Dress Code
- Pre-Ballet - White leotard, pink tights, pink shoes, NO skirts
- All other ballet classes - Black leotard with long sleeves and a scooped neck, pink full length tights, pink shoes.
- Adult and other dance classes optional choice of appropriate dancewear.
Rules of Conduct
- Observers must be quiet and unobtrusive.
- Arrive early for class - tardiness is disruptive to class.
- Ask permission before leaving class.
- Inform instructor before class begins of anything out of the ordinary such as an injury or having to leave class early, etc.
- Do not bring gum to the studio.
- Dancers will maintain a quiet, focused attitude during class and rehearsal.
- Parents must pick up students promptly after class, rehearsal, and performance. Ballet Society cannot be responsible for childcare.
- Costumes and jewelry are not appropriate in class.
- Hair must be brushed off of face and up in a bun.
- All students are invited to perform in both shows. This allows them the experience of performing on stage with professional lighting, costumes, and an enthusiastic audience to applaud their accomplishment.
